DISPENSER WATER VS BOTTLED WATER

Dispenser Refill bottle and a Plastic water bottle

the struggle is getting real by the day, to have so much that you have thought about but find it extremely hard to write it out and post is very possible and that is my situation . i know i gat this and can do this *moveee satan**************************************. so I was discussing with my cousin the other day after I came back from the supermarket and I went into a random thoughts of why people bother to buy packets of bottled water as against having a dispenser and just buying the refills. OK I know this is going to be an interesting topic as a lot of you guys will probably give reasons for buying bottled water.
my observation is that the bottled water go for close to a thousand naira depending on the brand, size etc.. and the dispenser refill bottle(DRB) is less than 300 naira depending on the brand too and if you decide to empty the whole packet of bottle water into the dispenser refill bottle, it wont fill it up, so why is it more expensive? my cousin went on to say it is because of the plastic bottle (PB) and only the water of the DRB gets to be sold and thou it is a valid point but the fact that PB litters the floor and usually don't get recycled in most homes, then I still don't see a reason for PB in homes, I actually think most times a lot of people get to misuse it hence wasting the water on the long run. Someone who isn't so thirsty opens a sealed PB water and takes a gulp and dumps it without coming back to it and the next person out of hygiene refuses to take same gulp from that same half bottle of water and opens another PB water and so it continues till you have loads of unfinished bottle of water littered around your home and ends up being trashed. But in the case of DRB, all you need is a mug or a glass-cup to dispense the amount of water you can finish without having to remain or waste it. so with DRB we get to save water from wasting.
Kudos to all those who get to recycle their PB either by using it as water storage or to make bags (yes 2 empty plastic bottles can produce a beautiful small shopping bag) but how many of us really practices recycling and where do we get the water we use in storing water in our plastic bottles, yes from the dispenser, still DRB is being cheated on because we pay more for bottled water and pay less for DRB and still survive on DRB. The fact that you can buy a water bottle to use as a refill for water should knock-off the thoughts of investing in PB, i have come to understand that using PB and storing it in your car or where it can be heat by sunlight is totally unhealthy and can release really harmful contents to the water and hence cause damage to the body. so why not invest in stainless water bottles and refill from a dispenser?
I think the use of bottled water should be patronised only for events as you cant have people lining up for water in front of the dispenser or when you are caught up in traffic or in fast foods etc.. as they have to make money from it anyway and not in private homes, banks, offices or places where you won't have to pay to drink water.
This is like one of the many weird, random thoughts that i will be talking about on this blog and with time, i will be developing contents for the blog. Your opinions, thoughts would be highly appreciated as a comment. it is not just about reading my thoughts, it is about disagreeing or agreeing to what i have just said and if you too have wondered same thing in your mind, So you need to leave a comment.
Do you prefer the bottled water at home over dispenser water? do you think it is a waste of resources and a harm to the environment to buy a packet of bottled water all the time in your home when your house can look sanitized all the time with a dispenser refill bottle? Please share your thoughts.
